Athletic Bilbao forward Nico Williams says he will confirm his nationality switch at the right time.
His elder brother, Inaki Williams last week, confirmed his international eligibility to Ghana together with five other players.
These players include, Tariq Lamptey, Mohammed Salisu, Stephen Ambrosius, Ransford-Yeboah Koningsdorffer, and Patric Pfeiffer and will now be available for Ghana and could have the chance to go to the World Cup in Qatar this November if selected.
"I have been watching the Black Stars. I always want to see them [play] and learn from them," Nico Williams told TV3.
"I am so young at the moment and I’m focusing on myself, working hard. Whether it is Spain or Ghana [I don’t know yet]. I want to be the best and when the time comes, I will [make the decision]."
The 20-year-old remains eligible to play for Ghana despite featuring five times for Spain's U21.
Williams had a successful 2021/22 season with The Lions where he made 39 appearances and scored three goals for the Basque-based club.
He is reportedly attracting interest from English Premier League giants Manchester United and Liverpool.
