Head coach of the Ghana national team, Chris Hughton has stressed that his team will not underrate Madagascar in the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations qualification match.
Speaking to the press on Tuesday, June 13, the former Brighton & Hove Albion manager noted that the Black Stars are preparing just like the team would prepare for any other opponent.
He indicated that he is expecting a tough match from Madagascar and will drill his team to be ready for the challenge to ensure victory at the end of the 90 minutes.
“When we do our homework, when we watch the opposition, there isn’t one opposition that we see that we think this is going to be easy. There isn’t one. Every international team is fighting to do well. The Madagascar team will be no different,” Coach Chris Hughton said.
The gaffer and his Black Stars have trained on Monday and Tuesday as part of the preparations for the game against Madagascar on Sunday, June 18.
The Stars will train on Wednesday and Thursday before travelling to Antananarivo for the crucial AFCON qualifier.
