A member of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) Executive Council, Dr. Randy Abbey has called for the strengthening of scouting for juvenile national teams in the country.
Speaking to Original FM in an interview, the experienced football administration said it is key to have a strong national team that will win trophies.
“We need to strengthen our scouting for our juvenile teams. Our scouting should be very strong and it's a key area for us to be successful as a football country,” Dr. Randy Abbey said.
According to the Exco member, the failure of the Ghana U-20 team should be blamed on everyone.
“We should all blame ourselves for Black Satellites' failure. I have presented my report to the GFA exco,” Dr. Randy Abbey said.
His comments come on the back of the failure of the Black Satellites at the WAFU Zone B U20 Championship.
Last Friday, the Black Starlets also missed out on qualification to the 2022 Africa Youth Championship after failing to make the finals of the WAFU Zone B U17 tournament.
