Mohammed Dauda was presented to the media by CD Tenerife on Thursday. According to Tenerife's sports director Juan Carlos Cordero, Dauda is being rented with the mandatory option to buy.
The former Asante Kotoko forward speaking at the presentation stated that he is happy with his new club.
"I am very enthusiastic about their project," he said.
"I'm happy to be here," Dauda added.
"Cordero explained the project and I am very excited about it. I want to try hard,"
Cordero, the sports director, says the transfer was time-consuming and complicated.
"It was a complex situation. We talked for a long time. We hire Dauda from Anderlecht with an obligatory buy option for three seasons if he achieves certain goals. I'm assuming those are met and so he will stay,"
Cordero was also happy with Dauda's ability to play in a number of positions in attack.
"Dauda is a fast, vertical footballer who is two-footed," Cordero continued.
"He can play on both wings and also in the centre of the striker's area. We needed a player like that. If Dauda does well and gets called up for the World Cup, we will have to miss him for a month, but that will increase his value,"
