Former goalkeeper Isaac Amoako opens up about the profound connection he shared with his late teammate, Kabiru Moro.

Kabiru Moro who played with Isaac Amoako, tragically passed away in his hometown of Akwatia in the Eastern Region.

The 35-year-old collapsed during a community football match on Tuesday evening, July 18, 2023, and was unable to be revived.

Born on February 15, 1988, Kabiru Moro enjoyed a memorable career in the Ghana Premier League.

He showcased his goal-scoring prowess during stints with several prominent Ghanaian clubs, including Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Medeama SC, and Real Tamale United (RTU).

Reacting to the sad news Amoako said the entire squad had beautiful moments with Kabiru Moro who was a striker.

"It is one but so many games I remember we went to Medeama, Kotoko when we go to Tarkwa we suffer a lot. Kabiru scored a wonderful goal there and all the players jubilated wildly falling on him when we got up we injured him he was limping," he told Peace FM as monitored by Footballghana.com

"In fact so many instances with Kotoko, Kotoko and Hearts in Accra he had one of the finest game when we were returning we joked with him in the car till we got to Kumasi,"

"So many beautiful moments with Kabiru Moro I will say after the season because of his performance Medeama came for him. Kabiru Moro paid his dues when he came to Kotoko I send condolences to his family,"
