The head coach of Bechem United, Kassim Mingle has reacted to the team’s inability to clinch the Ghana Premier League title at the end of the 2022/23 football season.
The Hunters missed out on the league title to Medeama SC after losing to Aduana Stars on the final day of the campaign on Sunday, June 11.
Speaking in a post-match interview after the defeat to Aduana Stars, Coach Kassim Mingle said it was not only disappointing but unfortunate because Bechem United played better this season than the previous one.
“It’s unfortunate we couldn’t win. The way we played we thought we would have won.
“This season we played better than last season and should have won the league,” the Bechem United coach said.
Following the last-day defeat to Aduana Stars, Bechem United had to settle for a third-place finish.
Medeama SC made history to lift the club’s maiden Ghana Premier League title.
