Marian Wilhelm, the coach of Viktoria Köln's under-19 team, had high praise for one of his young defenders, Kaden Amaniampong.
According to Wilhelm, Amaniampong possesses several qualities that make him stand out among his peers.
The 18-year-old defender signed a professional contract with Bundesliga 3 side Viktoria Köln on Wednesday.
"Kaden has excellent athletics and speed, and is extremely strong, especially in direct duels," says U19 head coach Marian Wilhelm, explaining the qualities of his protégé.
"He has the maximum willingness to defend, that's what you want as a coach. His playmaking and his understanding of our way of playing football have evolved very quickly this year. So he was an absolute pillar of our U19 and led the way with consistently good performances,”
Kaden Amaniampong made 11 of 15 Bundesliga games over the entire season and scored an important goal against 1. FC Köln and played a key role in the U19s' success.
