Ghana's Joel Fameyeh scored the only goal in Rubin Kazan's match week 28 game against Arsenal Tula in the Russian Football National League.
The first half was quite uneventful. The teams were cautious, and the field did not lend themselves well to combination football. The significant incident of the first half was the expulsion of Danil Stepanov, a former Rubin Kazan player currently playing for Arsenal Tula, who played recklessly against Merabi Uridiya.
Rubin Kazan only needed a few minutes at the start of the second half to score. Joel Fameyeh, who had just come in as a replacement, headed home Ilya Samoshnikov's cross to break his goalless run.
Rubin Kazan finally won the game with this goal.
Kazan is currently second on the league table with 53 points after 28 games. They are one point behind league leaders Baltika who have a game in hand.
Rubin Kazan will play SKA Khabarovsk in their next league game.
