Thomas Partey, a midfielder for the Black Stars and Arsenal, has offered assistance to those hurt in the Eastern Region's Lower Manya Krobo shooting incident.
Many locals were hurt on August 23rd of this year after a confrontation with a military team sent to help the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) install prepaid meters in the Krobo neighborhood.
According to reports, the incident left at least eight people in Nuaso in the Lower Manya Krobo Municipality with gunshot wounds.
To aid with their immediate basic necessities and medical expenses, Partey offered each victim in the Nuaso community an unknown sum of money.
Samuel Delali Zigah, Partey's public relations representative, told The Ghana Report that The Thomas Partey Foundation will continue to follow each victim's development and provide assistance in any way that may make life more bearable and pleasant.
“Today, we have come to sympathise with you on behalf of Thomas Partey. It's sad to see you in this situation. We want to make you aware that you are not alone in your predicament, and therefore it is our hope that you will soon recover and get back to your normal duties,” Mr Zigah said.
