General Secretary of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Prosper Harrison Addo is backing the Black Meteors to excel at the 2023 CAF U23 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.
Ghana is one of the 8 countries that will be playing at this year’s U23 AFCON to be staged in Morocco.
At the tournament, Ghana’s U23 national team is aiming to lift the trophy while securing qualification to play at the 2024 Olympic Games in France as well.
Speaking to Asempa FM in an interview on Wednesday, GFA General Secretary Prosper Harrison Addo said he is confident the Black Meteors will book a place in Paris for the Olympic Games.
“It's the desire of all Ghanaians that we [the Black Meteors] pick a slot to go to the Olympics Games. We have a good team,” the Ghana FA General Secretary said.
At the U23 AFCON, Ghana is pitted in Group A to face host nation Morocco, Congo, and Guinea.
