German Bundesliga side, TSG 1899 Hoffenheim have decided not to sign Ghana defender Alexander Djiku anymore although he passed his mandatory medical examination.
The highly-rated centre-back travelled to Germany on Wednesday ahead of his anticipated move to join the Bundesliga outfit.
Today, he had a successful medical examination to complete a move from Racing Strasbourg to TSG 1899 Hoffenheim which was expected to cost the German side a sum of six million euros.
However, due to a demand for an increase in commission made by the agent of the defender who is also his brother, TSG 1899 Hoffenheim have decided that they are no longer interested in the deal.
According to French tabloid L’Équipe, the deal has collapsed and Alexander Djiku will travel back to France to continue pre-season with his Racing Strasbourg teams.
From the information gathered, there are still clubs in Europe’s top five leagues interested in signing the Ghana defender.
It is unclear if any of the clubs including Sevilla will be able to meet the demands of Racing Strasbourg.
