Former Chairman of the Western Regional Football Association, Kojo Yankah has stressed that he is serious about contesting the presidential election of the Ghana Football Association (GFA).
On Tuesday, June 6, the experienced football administrator formally declared his intention to contest the next election later this year.
Speaking to Asempa FM in the evening, Kojo Yankah revealed that he plans to contest to unite the football fraternity.
According to him, there is currently no love within the football community.
“There is no unity and love within the football fraternity,” Kojo Yankah bemoaned.
He continued, "I declared my intention to contest in the next GFA presidential election today.”
Kojo Yankah insists that he is fully prepared and will contest GFA President Kurt Okraku for the top position.
Several other people are expected to come out to declare their intention to contest the GFA presidential election in the next few weeks.
