Asante Kotoko's ambitious start to the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League season has hit a stumbling block, with Coach Prosper Ogum citing a lack of assimilation of the revered 'Kotoko spirit' among his players.
After four matches, the iconic team finds themselves in an uncharacteristic 10th place, securing only five points.
Coach Ogum, however, implored the devoted Asante Kotoko faithful to exercise patience, emphasizing that the squad is in the midst of a vital rebuilding phase.
"As you can recall most of these guys are coming in into the team it is a rebuilding process they don't have that Porcupine spirit the spirit in itself if you are not that strong you cannot stand it," he told Peace FM as monitored by Footballghana.com
"So I think with time they will get use to that spirit again in terms of our tactical decisions they have gotten to the automatic stage where they can even close their eyes and then know that this person is moving there.
"I think it is all about process we need to keep repeating the process at training we need to encourage team and then let them know that they can do it,"
