Referees Manager of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Alex Kotey has indicated that he is impressed with the progress of the Catch Them Young Refereeing Policy.
In his estimation, the policy has made great progress within the last three years.
According to him, he has been delighted with the passion and burning desire displayed by the Catch Them Young Referees.
‘’There is no doubt that great progress have been made and I would like to thank all the major stakeholders for contributing to this success.
‘’Their performance, dedication, passion and burning desire is unbelievable and it is my hope that they remain consistent and discipline throughout this journey,” Referees Manager Alex Kotey said as quoted on the website of the Ghana FA.
The Catch Them Young Refereeing Policy is a fulfillment of a campaign promise made by GFA President Kurt Okraku.
The policy seeks to give opportunities to young boys and girls between the ages of 12-17 with the right level of passion the necessary training and development in the field of refereeing.
According to the Ghana FA, it has so far trained about 1,200 young referees across the country.
