Ghana defender, Tariq Lamptey is set to return to full fitness ahead of the 2023/24 Premier League season.
The Brighton and Hove Albion right-back suffered an injury in February against West Ham United.
The injury kept the former Chelsea defender out for the rest of the season.
Lamptey was expected in two months to at least honour some matches in the latter part of the campaign but suffered a setback during his recovery and never returned until the season ended.
However, Lamptey has recovered and will be declared fully fit very soon to start preseason- where the Seagulls will warm themselves up with a series of friendly games for the new season including one against Spanish Laliga side Rayo Vallacano.
The 22-year-old has missed Ghana's last three matches a double-header against Angola in March and just recently against Madagascar all in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
He is expected to be an integral member for Roberto De Zerbi's side ahead of the new season.
