The manager of Racing Strasbourg, Julien Stéphan says the club is open to the transfer of defender Alexander Djiku.
Since the end of last season, the Black Stars centre-back has been a transfer target of a number of clubs in Europe including Sevilla.
Last month, Alexander Djiku came close to signing for German Bundesliga club TSG Hoffenheim.
Unfortunately, although he passed a medical examination, the deal could not go through due to high demands from his agent.
Speaking in an interview after Racing Strasbourg’s defeat to AS Monaco over the weekend, manager Julien Stéphan disclosed that the club will not stop the Ghana defender from moving this summer.
He however added that if the player stays at the end of the transfer window, the club will be elated.
"But we also say to ourselves that perhaps nothing will happen and that we will keep the players…they will be replaced and if they continue with us, we will be very happy", the Strasbourg coach said.
