Real Tamale United (RTU) midfielder, Baba Kushibo expressed his delight on Friday afternoon after helping the side to record an impressive 3-1 win over Accra Lions.
In a Week 6 encounter of the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League season, Baba Kushibo scored to ensure his side bagged all three points.
Speaking in a post-match interview after he was named Man of the Match, the RTU midfielder described the performance of his side as a marvelous one.
“It was a marvelous performance considering the fact that we were playing away from home. Compared to other venues Accra seems to be a better venue so we knew if we do well we are going to get the three pints and that’s what we did,” Baba Kushibo said.
Although RTU have climbed to the top of the Ghana Premier League table, Baba Kushibo said the team will not get carried away.
He said the team will keep calm and take it game by game.
“It’s enticing to see that we are at the top. It’s early days so the focus is to stay up and at the end of the day whatever happens is a bonus,” Baba Kushibo said.
