German Bundesliga 2 side FC Kaiserslautern has announced the signing of German-born Ghanaian attacker Richmond Tachie in the ongoing summer transfer window.
The club's official statement reads: "FC Kaiserslautern has signed another new signing: Richmond Tachie is strengthening the Red Devils with immediate effect. The 24-year-old attacker is moving from second division competitor SC Paderborn to FCK."
The former Borussia Dortmund II attacker, who ended his spell with SC Paderborn 07 during the recently ended season, is joining the Fritz-Walter-Stadion side on a free transfer.
At Borussia Dortmund II the attacker scored 17 goals and made 73 appearances in the German reserve league. He also made four appearances and scored one goal for Viktoria Köln
Despite playing for the Germany U19 and U20 national youth teams, the attacking forward who was born in Berlin is still qualified to represent Ghana at the international level.
The attacker started his youth football career with Tennis Borussia Berlin from 2004 to 2013 and VfL Wolfsburg from 2013 to 2018.
