The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has issued a statement to mourn late Black Stars striker Raphael Dwamena.
The forward died on Saturday, November 11, after collapsing while in action for Egnatia in a game against FK Partizani in the Albanian Superliga.
Having learned about the passing of the striker, the Ghana FA in a post on social media said, “Our thoughts are with the family of Raphael Dwamena at this difficult time.
“Raphael represented Ghana wholeheartedly and paid his dues to the country until his unfortunate passing.”
The post on X continued, “We will forever miss him for his dedication to the National Coarse. Rest In Peace Raphael.”

Before his passing, Raphael Dwamena played for several clubs including Red Bull Salzburg, Austria Lustenau, and Levante, among others.
