Real Tamale United tactician Abdul Mumin Abdulai has attributed his outfit defeat to Samartex in the Ghana Premier League to fatigue.
The Pride of the North suffered a 2-1 defeat to the Timber Boys at the Nsenkyire Sports Complex in the week 12 of the domestic top-flight.
Samartex broke the deadlock seven minutes into the game through before doubling the advantage for the host in the 65th minute.
Alhassan Mankuyeli pulled one back in stoppage but it was too late to deny The Timber Giants their 6th consecutive home win of the campaign.
“I think it was a good game. We started slowly like you said and I will attribute it to fatigue. We travelled a long distance and where we were resting, there was more or less a jamboree there. So, it took the better part of the night and so we couldn’t rest well.”
The defeat was RTU’s fourth in six games which leaves them in 14th position with 14 points on the league standings.
