The Greater Accra Regional Police have approved a planned demonstration set to take place at the premises of the Ghana Football Association (GFA).

In an official correspondence dated September 26, 2023, the Ghana Football Stakeholders Forum, a recognized group, was granted authorization to proceed with the protest.
The demonstration is scheduled for Monday, October 2, 2024, and is slated to unfold between the hours of 9:00 AM and 2:00 PM.
The statement from the police further outlined that participants are to present their petition directly to both the Ghana Football Association (GFA) and the Minister of Youth and Sports during the course of the event.
“The Accra Regional Police Command acknowledge receipt of your letter dated 25t
September, 2023 on the above the subject matter,” the statement from the police said.
“Pursuant to meeting held between you and the Police at the Regional Headquarters, Accra on 26th September, 2023 it was agreed that;
“You embark on your intended demonstration on 4th October, 2023 between the hours of 9am and 2pm.
“You shall present petition to the Ghana Football Association (GFA) and the Minister of Youth and Sports.
“You shall ensure that there is no infiltration.
“The Police wish to assure you that it will provide you with the needed security coverage for your intended demonstration according to its mandate.”
