Ghana coach Otto Addo has reflected on his return as Black Stars ahead of their game against Nigeria.
He replaced Chris Hughton following the Black Stars abysmal performance at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast.
Otto Addo will be hoping for a flying start in his second stint with the senior national soccer team, the Black Stars, when they engage Nigeria in an international friendly on Friday at 4pm.
The highly competitive game is expected to be played at the Grande de Stade Marrakesh in Morocco.
Otto Addo led the Black Stars to seal 2022 World Cup qualification over Nigeria. Ghana played out a 0-0 draw at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi before holding the Super Eagles to a 1-1 draw in Nigeria, edging them out on away goal rule.
The two West Africa giants renews their rivalry on Friday, March 22, 2024 at the Grande de Stade Marrakesh. Both teams will be aiming for victory to earn the bragging right.
“I’m happy to be back. It was quiet interesting because when you compare the squad now to the squad to the AFCON, there are a lot replacement. We have a lot of injuries and so, I have like seven-eight new guys in camp with less experience but we have a bright future”
“I’m looking forward to the game for the young boys to show and then the combination with those who have experience and being with the team for sometime and to guide them. It will be an interesting match” he told Ghana FA media.
