England-born attacker, Callum Hudson-Odoi has indicated that although it was the right decision to leave Chelsea this summer, it was not easy taking the decision.
According to the winger who is of Ghanaian descent, he had a mutual agreement with officials of the English Premier League and opted to move on to a new challenge.
“Chelsea has been my home for a very long time and knowing it was time to go was emotional. It was difficult.
“We had conversations but I thought it was best if I leave — so it was a mutual agreement, but I’d say it was more my decision,” Callum Hudson-Odoi said.
The forward in the past two seasons has struggled for playing time at Chelsea and had his fair share of injuries.
Even a loan move to Bayer Leverkusen last season could not really do him any good.
Callum Hudson-Odoi, 22, has left Chelsea after spending over 15 years at the club. He is now keen on making it at Nottingham Forest.
