Olympique Lyon of Ligue 1 is most likely going to lose experienced defender Jerome Boateng in the summer.
The 34-year-old's journey may take him to the MLS in North America.

The two years the former Bayern Munich defender spent playing for Lyon are up at the conclusion of the current campaign, and he has decided not to extend it.
Most recently, he had treatment in Munich. He only participated in six games for OL that season and lost all significance.
On 1 September 2021, Boateng joined French side Lyon on a free transfer. He signed a contract until 30 June 2023.
