English Premier League club Chelsea FC has announced that they have reached an agreement with young Ghanaian winger Ato Ampah.
Discussions were quick between Chelsea's youth management and Ato Ampah's entourage.
Announced as a great hope for the training center of Chelsea, the right winger Ato Ampah in the company of his family signed on the dotted line on Friday afternoon.
Aged 17, the latter signed a two-year deal until June 2025. This season, the youngster born in Accra has featured for the Blues u-18s. He has scored two goals and provided five assists in 13 league games.
Ato Ampah was signed as an Under-11 from grassroots football and made his debut for the Under-18s side last year, making five appearances in total.
"Ato Ampah is a very quick and dynamic attacking player who can play in a number of forward positions," Chelsea FC stated.
Ato Ampah scored in Chelsea u-18's 5-2 defeat to Fulham in the Premier League u-18 competition on 26th April.
