Ranking Member on the Parliamentary Select Committee for Sports, Kobena Woyome, believes the National Sports Authority are complicit in the abysmal performances of the Black Stars.
He says the NSA is disgracing the country by not adding value to the organization to help in the scouting process for the national teams.
The NSA has come under scrutiny for their recent activities of renting out the Accra Sports Stadium to musicians for concerts and taking it out away from clubs.
Speaking to Joy News, Woyome said, “They are just ineffective; they are not working and they are disappointing Ghanaians.
“The National Sports Authority should have people with the capacity to be able to also assist and support decisions into the scouting process and then have a certain degree of rapport with the technical handlers of the national team to the extent that they would be able to suggest the way forward.
“But the National Sports Authority has gone to sleep. Go to them and find out from them whether they are really working.”
