Abdul Salam, the influential bankroller of New Edubiase, has expressed deep concern over the dismal turnout of fans in the Division One League Zone Two matches.
Abdul Salam Yakubu also urged the Ghana Football Association to pay referees in the zone very well.
Nations FC were crowned as champions of Zone Two after a 3-1 win over Asokwa Deportivo in their final game of the season.
Skyy FC beat Swedru All Blacks 2-0 to finish 2nd in the league.
"Things didn't go well supporters don't come to match venues comparing it to where I go supporters don't come to park. And the referees too the problems are still there a lot of them are suffering. It is not intentional some are suffering the journey is long someone can come from Tumu to Bekwai the journey is long and their money is also not enough," he told Peace FM as monitored by Footballghana.com
"They come in the morning and when they arrive they will be so exhausted. At times you cant blame them the FA should find a lot of money for the referees and pay them well. The quality of the game is up Ghana we have a lot of talent if you look at my team when we concluded the league we have about four Premier clubs who have written to us regarding our players,"
"And also I am also traveling with one we got them this season. Apart from that I saw a lot of quality in the clubs quality is still there Ghana we have a lot of talent,"
