Nations FC emerged victorious over the struggling Asante Kotoko, marking the latter's fourth consecutive defeat.

The match, which was part of the Ghana Premier League match week 23, saw Nations FC coach Kassim Mingle employing a unique strategy that ultimately led to their triumph at the Baba Yara Stadium.

Mingle revealed in a post-match interview that he spent the first half of the game studying Kotoko's tactics. He then used the half-time break to relay his observations and strategic adjustments to his players from the bench.

This approach proved to be effective as Nations FC managed to turn the game in the second half.

The decisive goal came from forward Asamoah Boateng Afriyie, who headed home a cross in a brilliant display of skill and teamwork. This goal further cemented his position as the league's top scorer.

"I used the first half in studying Kotoko so I asked my players to listen to instructions from the bench, where to move and where to reposition themselves. After recess, we took over and won the game,” he said.

“My players were tactically disciplined, they played to instructions. Truth be told, we didn’t play the normal game we’ve been playing but it wasn’t bad so far we got the three points, I’m okay,” he added.
