Head coach of the United States Men's National Team, Gregg Berhalter, has lamented the lack of impact from his substitutions in their 4-0 win over Ghana in Wednesday's international friendly.
The Yanks scored four goals in 39 minutes to beat the Black Stars at the Geodis Park in Nashville. However, there were no further goals in the second half after changes from Berhalter.
Speaking after the game, he commended the level of talent in Ghana's team but said his subs were not impactful.
"Ghana has a ton of talent. When you look at the roster, they have Champions League players, Premier League players," Berhalter said after the game. "You have to be able to beat the teams that you face. And the fact that we did it early was good," he added.
"One disappointment, I would say, would be when we made the six changes," he continued. "We didn't get a similar type of impact that we would have liked."
