Ghana football legend, Mohammed Polo believes Mohammed Kudus and Ernest Nuamah will have a massive impact on Black Stars' chances of qualifying for the 2026 World Cup.
His comments come after the duo impressed in the Black Stars' last two games against Central African Republic (CAR) and Liberia.
Both Kudus and Nuamah scored in Ghana's win against CAR in the final round of games of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers staged at the Baba Yara Stadium to secure a 2-1 which has propelled the Black Stars to qualify for the tournament that will be hosted in Ivory Coast next year.
In the international friendly against the Lone Stars of Liberia at the Accra Sports Stadium, the West Ham United attacker and the Lyon forward again found the back of the net as the Black Stars recorded a 3-1 win.
Speaking in an interview with GNA Sports, Mohammed Polo described the two footballers as generational talents, adding that he believes Ghana would benefit immensely from their contributions to the senior national team.
"The telepathy between these two players could propel Ghana to AFCON success in Cote D Ivoire and would have a massive impact on our bid to qualify for the next World Cup.
"It is very rare for Ghana to have these kinds of players on one team at a time, but we are blessed to have this duo who are not just creators but scorers," he said.
The 1978 AFCON winner also asserted that the recent moves by these players in the respective European clubs would aid in their development and would become massive for Ghana's football progress, especially at the senior level.
"I am happy with their progress, and I urge you to annul all the negativity that they might face while playing football, especially on social media," he added.
Mohammed Polo stated that there are more of these talents in Ghana and that more has to be done to unearth them, especially by supporting experienced footballers to build more academies.
Ghana meanwhile have been housed in Group I of the World Cup qualifiers alongside Mali, Madagascar, Central African Republic, Comoros and Chad.
The Black Stars will begin their qualifiers with a home game against Madagascar in November.
