Former Asante Kototo skipper Amos Frimpong has stated that Milo FC de Kankan is a side that is good at home and struggles away.

He urged Dreams FC to also prepare to face a side that likes to play hard on the pitch.

Ghana Premier League side Dreams FC will clash with Milo FC de Kankan of Guinea in the first preliminary round of the TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup.

Dreams are participating in the CAF Confederation Cup after beating King Faisal to win the MTN FA Cup. Dreams will make the trip to Guinea for the first leg before hosting Milo FC in Accra.

The first preliminary round is fixed for the weekend of 18 - 20 August for the 1st leg matches and 25 - 27 August for the 2nd leg ties.

The second preliminary will come off 15 to 17 September for the first leg games, and the returning fixtures are from September 19 to October 1, 2023.

The winner of the tie will face either of AS Douanes (Niger) and Kallon FC (Sierra Leone) in the second preliminary round for a spot in the group stage.

"What I will say about Milo is that for the past 3 or 4 seasons either they play in Confederation competition or play Champions League competition. They are not a bad side they are a good side their top striker in the just-ended season won the goal king," he told Peace FM as monitored by Footballghana.com

"They are trained by an experienced coach who is also the head of their local team they are a team who also score a lot of goals playing at home. But their away performance is not encouraging the Milo team I watched played home and away, Dreams FC against Asante Kotoko if you compare both teams Dreams FC's game was on a high level than Milo,"

"Their home games they score a lot of goals one thing that is good for Dreams is that this competition they will not play at Kankan which is their favourite grounds they will come to Conkary to play the game it is more like they playing an away game. I will say they should go with aggressiveness because they also when they play they like the contact football this will help them get a good result,"
