Ghana international, Jeffrey Schlupp has reached a significant milestone at Crystal Palace following his naming in the team’s starting eleven for the game against Arsenal.
The experienced midfielder is starting in the attack of the Eagles today in the Week 2 encounter of the new English Premier League season.
As confirmed by Crystal Palace, this is the 200th appearance of Jeffrey Schlupp since joining the club.
“Jeffrey Schlupp is set to make his 200th appearance for Crystal Palace in all competitions after Roy Hodgson named an unchanged starting XI for the visit of Arsenal.
“The Eagles’ manager has kept faith with the same side which performed so impressively in the 1-0 win over Sheffield United at Bramall Lane last week.
“The announcement means that Schlupp, on the occasion of Palace's first home game of 2023/24, hits the milestone of 200 appearances in red and blue, having signed for Palace from Leicester City in January 2017,” a club statement from Crystal Palace said ahead of kick-off to the Arsenal match.
Meanwhile, Jordan Ayew has also been named in the Crystal Palace starting eleven for the game against Arsenal.
On the other hand, Thomas Partey is starting in midfield for the Gunners.
Tonight’s game is kicking off at 19:00gmt at Selhurst Park.
