General Secretary of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Prosper Harrison Addo has clarified the position of Michael Osekre, a man who many have referred to as the Chief of Staff in the Kurt Okraku-led administration.
Mr Osekre is a known close pal of Kurt Okraku, who is the President of the Football Association.
He has been seen travelling with the various national teams multiple times and spotted mostly with Mr Okraku.
However, Harrison Addo, who runs the day-to-day administration of the GFA speaking in an interview revealed that Michael Osekre does not hold any official position at the FA despite his close relationship with the FA president.
But added that he (Michael Osekre) only acts as an adviser to the Ghana Football Association (GFA) president (Kurt Okraku).
"Michael Osekre does not hold any official position at the Ghana Football Association," he told Accra-based Asaase Radio.
"Everywhere, we have people who advise the FA and Michael Osekre is just an adviser to Kurt Okraku."
Quizzed if the Football Association takes charge of his travelling expenses, he said, "There are some travels he takes charge of the expenses and sometimes the Football Association pays but he is just an adviser to the FA boss (Kurt Okraku)."
Michael Osekre is the owner and bankroller of Division One League side, Vision FC.
