Ghana legend and assistant coach of FC Nordsjaelland has congratulated his outfit following their thumping win over Fenerbache in the UEFA Europa Conference League.
The Danish outfit hosted Fenerbache at the Right to Dream Park on Thursday night in the round 5 of the Group stage in the European inter-club competition.
Nordsjaelland cruised to an emphatic 6-1 win over the Turkish side to go top of Group I in the Conference League.
Goals from Lucas Hey, Daniel Sevnsson, Christian Rasmussen and Benjamin Nygren’s hat-trick propelled the host to secure a massive win. Fenerbache grabbed a consolation goal from Michy Batshuayi.
"Big win tonight, Huge congratulations, boys Bravooo FC Nordsjaelland," wrote the former Ghana midfielder on social media.
Ghanaian winger Ibrahim Osman made substitute appearance in the thrilling encounter for FC Nordjaelland but compatriot Alexander Djiku missed the clash due to injury.
Essien has been working with Nordsjaelland since hanging up his boots in 2021.
