Reigning Ghana Premier League winners Medeama have reportedly completed the signing of their former forward Benjamin Bature ahead of next season.

The 26-year-old has rejoined his former outfit from King Faisal who suffered relegation at the end of the 202/23 season.

Bature has signed a three-year deal with the Yellow and Mauves who are set to represent Ghana in the upcoming CAF Champions League campaign.

In the just-ended season, the Tarkwa-based side lacked firepower upfront with Jonathan Sowah being the only potent attacker in the team as he scored 12 goals to propel the team to glory.

Their next top scorer of the season was Vincent Atinga who plays as a centre-back with the majority of his 11 goals coming from the spot.

Due to the goalscoring issues, the Yellow and Mauves have been active in the market searching for a prolific forward and has now settled on their former striker, who impressed for King Faisal despite the club’s demotion.

As Ghana's representative in the CAF Champions League following their title triumph, Medeama are taking the necessary steps to make the team strong as they compete with giants on the continent.

The forward made 24 appearances for King Faisal in the recently ended season, scoring 6 goals and providing one assist.

Bature joined King Faisal last season after departing Tunisian side JS Kairouan in the summer of 2020. He previously played for Medeama in 2014 and signed a contract extension in 2017 before moving to North Africa in 2019, where he spent one season with JS Kairouan. He also had stints with Nigerian side Nasarawa United.
