Good evening and welcome to the live text commentary of the match between USA and the Black Stars of Ghana.
The two countries are locking horns tonight in an international friendly match.
For the Black Stars, this is a chance to continue the preparations for the start of the qualifiers for the 2026 FIFA World Cup in November.
Ghana head coach, Chris Hughton is also using the match to prepare his team for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations tournament to be held in Ivory Coast early next year.
Before tonight’s friendly with the USA, Ghana last Saturday engaged Mexico in a similar friendly game.
Following an unimpressive showing from the Black Stars, the team lost 2-0 at the end of the game played at the Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte.
Ahead of the kick-off to the US game, Coach Chris Hughton has made changes to the starting eleven that played against Mexico.
Goalkeeper Abdul Manaf Nurudeen has replaced Richard Ofori in post while striker Inaki Williams has been tasked to lead the leads.
Other stars including Thomas Partey, Jordan Ayew, and Mohammed Kudus are also starting for Ghana.
