Head coach of Legon Cities, Maxwell Konadu was impressed with the performance of his team in the draw against Asante Kotoko on Thursday afternoon.
The gaffer marshaled his team to come from behind to earn a draw in a tough game played at the El Wak Stadium this afternoon.
Speaking in a post-match interview, Coach Maxwell Konadu said his team will continue to fight to climb to a good position on the Ghana Premier League table.
“We started the game strongly and should have scored very early in the game but unfortunately we missed those opportunities. It’s a balanced game but in the second half — Kotoko pushed me back to defend more. We wanted to finish the game strongly and glad Alex Aso came to score. We will keep fighting and secure a respectable position,” Coach Maxwell Konadu said.
A defeat for the Royals today would have sent the side into the relegation zone of the league table.
The draw has, however, kept the team in the 14th position.
