England-born attacker of Ghanaian descent, Callum Hudson-Odoi has opened up on making the decision to leave Chelsea this summer.

The talented youngster before the summer transfer window closed sealed a permanent move from Chelsea to fellow English Premier League outfit Nottingham Forest.

Speaking to the Telegraph in an interview, Callum Hudson-Odoi said he left Chelsea because he was convinced it was the best thing to do.

According to him, the club also agreed and both parties parted ways by mutual consent.

“Chelsea has been my home for a very long time and knowing it was time to go was emotional. It was difficult.

“We had conversations but I thought it was best if I leave — so it was a mutual agreement, but I’d say it was more my decision,” Callum Hudson-Odoi said.

Callum Hudson-Odoi, 22, has left Chelsea after spending over 15 years at the club. He is now keen on making it at Nottingham Forest.
