Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is reportedly considering Athletic Bilbao winger Nico Williams as a potential long-term replacement for Mohamed Salah, according to Spanish publication El Mundo.
The 20-year-old Spain-born Ghanaian has enjoyed a strong season with the Basque club, contributing eight goals and six assists in all competitions.
His older brother and Black Stars forward Inaki Williams, has described him as an "unstoppable diamond."
“In one-on-ones, he is practically unstoppable…He is a talent, a rough diamond that needs to be polished,” Inaki told Mundo Deportivo.
However, some of Nico's other teammates have expressed reservations about a potential move away from the club.
Striker Gorka Guruzeta, 26, stated that Williams would be better served staying with the Spanish side, where he already has a high level of play and support from his fellow players.
Meanwhile, Salah, 30, has continued to perform at a high level for Liverpool, scoring 24 goals across all competitions despite the team's overall underwhelming season.
