Saturday's Bundesliga game against Eintracht Frankfurt will be a special game for former AC Milan midfielder Kevin-Prince Boateng.

Born in Berlin, Kevin-Prince Boateng will receive his ex-club in the Olympic Stadium. "It's always very emotional to play against the old team," said the 35-year-old in a media encounter.

Boateng wore the Hessen jersey in the 2017/18 season and surprisingly won the DFB Cup.

As a result of the slow start of the season in Berlin, Boateng does not want to give any gifts to his former employer. Hertha could benefit from the fact that Eintracht now has one less top performer in their ranks after the departure of star player Filip Kostic.

"It's positive for us that Kostic is gone. At least that's what I heard. If it doesn't land here on Friday, then we can say that's good for us," Boateng joked.

Coach Sandro Schwarz, according to Boateng, worked up the derby defeat very effectively. The main reason for the bad performance was a lack of intensity and poor duel behavior, which was surprising given how significant this confrontation was for their own fans.

"Those are the things we missed. What we did very well in Braunschweig for 60 minutes was completely missing in the derby,” the midfielder lamented.

"I see the dressing room. We are positive and step on the gas. Of course we were disappointed and angry. But that's why it's good that we have the chance to do better again on Saturday,"
