German-born Ghanaian youngster Kelsey Owusu Aninkorah-Meisel scored in Schalke 04 u-19's 4-3 defeat to FC Köln in the junior DFB Cup final.

The Schalke U19s played well and were eager to grab their chance on the field. Keke Topp had his first action in the Cologne penalty area as early as the third minute at the Karl Liebknecht Stadium in Potsdam.

However, at the last second, Luan Simnica stopped the striker from scoring. Despite the high intensity, no further opportunities were recorded in the minutes that followed. In the dangerous zones, both sides defended well and left little opportunity for the opposing offensive.

In the 32nd minute, Meiko Wäschenbach crossed from the right into the middle, which ended up sinking into the far corner. S04 keeper Faaris Yusufu stretched in vain to keep the ball out.

Damion Downs made it 2-0 in the 35th minute after Schalke failed to clear their lines.

Niklas Barthel was lurking during a corner, he made the connection with a powerful shot in the 42nd minute to make it 2-1.

After the break, Keke Topp scored from close range to make it 2-2. In the 57th minute, Yannick Tonye passed to Kelsey Meisel at the perfect moment in the penalty area, the latter successfully completed the shot to make it 3-2.

Substitute Arda Süne and Damion Downs scored later to give the billy goats the win.
