Keenan Appiah-Forson scored at the wrong end in West Ham u-21's 3-1 defeat to Blackburn Rovers u-21 on Saturday afternoon.

In the 8th minute, Clayton and George Earthy link up superbly on the left flank, and the ball is eventually driven across to Divin Mubama. The striker looked to sweep the ball into the net with his left foot but his effort was well blocked.

The visitors caught the Irons out with a quick throw into the 18-yard-box. Walker created space for a shot but Luizao was on hand to make an important block for the hosts.

Keenan Appiah-Forson's slide tackle is well timed in the 22nd minute but the loose ball fell into Harvey O'Grady's path. The Blackburn midfielder raced onto the ball and registered a shot on target.

Georgie Gent pounced on Kaelan Casey's misplaced pass and the No11 slotted the ball through goalkeeper Hegyi's legs to give his side a one goal advantage.

Appiah-Forson was pressured into passing the ball into his own net in the 40th minute.

Kamarai Swyer raced to the byline and cut the ball back to Mubama who tucked the ball into the bottom right corner to make it 2-1.

Blackburn Rovers added their third goal in the 90th minute through Sam Burns.
