On Thursday evening, Bayer 04 Leverkusen faced off against AS Roma in a Europa League match.

Unfortunately for Leverkusen, they suffered a defeat at the hands of the Italian club. Adding to their woes, Jeremie Frimpong, one of the Leverkusen players, picked up a slight injury during the match.

Manager Simon Rolfes explained to RedatkionsNetzwerk Deutschland after the game that the Bayer 04 Leverkusen right-back injury is nothing serious.

"He took a beating in the first half and again at the end," said Rolfes. "But it's probably not that problematic for him,"

The Dutch-born Ghanaian defender is scheduled to stay in Rome on Friday, where the Bayer entourage is enjoying a rest day before heading directly to Stuttgart on Saturday. The away game at VfB Stuttgart takes place there on Sunday afternoon.

Jeremie Frimpong 22, has made seven appearances, scored one goal and assisted one in the Uefa Europa league this season
