Ghana forward Antoine Semenyo has opened up on the shin injury he suffered toward the end of the 2022/23 season.
He said the last couple of months have been tough as he had to go through a surgery that caused him to miss a number games when the season was about concluding.
He also missed Ghana's Africa Cup of Nations qualifying game against Madagascar in June.
Speaking after earning his first start of the 2023/24 season against Liverpool, where he scored the opener in a 3-1 defeat, he said working hard to get into the starting lineup was the beginning.
“It’s been tough the last couple of months with the shin injury," he told the Daily Ech.
"But I just had to be strong mentally and physically and get myself ready to the beast I am! I’ve done well enough to get a start, so I just need to keep going and keep building myself," he continuee.
