In the wake of two disheartening defeats, Black Stars coach Chris Hughton has stepped up to shoulder the weight of responsibility for the team's lackluster performance.
Ghana suffered a 2-0 loss to Mexico in a recent international friendly held in North Carolina, followed by a devastating 4-0 defeat at the hands of the USA in Tennessee.
These consecutive setbacks have ignited a wave of disappointment among Ghanaians, who are pointing fingers at both the coach and the players.
"There is also a positive; we have qualified for the Africa Cup nations. If anybody thinks it is given to you, it is not. We have to go through a qualification group," he said.
"It is my responsibility to build this team. I have to work around some of the issues we’ve always had regards some players missing from the squad, trying to get consistency in the team and we will continue to strive to get the right formulas," he added.
