Anderlecht head coach Brian Riemer says it will be difficult to find a player who has the speed and explosiveness of Francis Amuzu.
He is saying this after it was confirmed the Belgium-Ghanaian winger will be out for three and half weeks with sports hernia.
It is believed that the 22-year-old will miss two games after will be back a week after the international break.
Riemer said Amuzu’s numbers speak for themselves this season after criticisms he doesn’t score a lot of goals or provide assists.
"Francis is a unique player. It's rare to find a player with his speed and explosiveness who is also strong on the ball. When he is fully fit, he will show what he can do this season. In the past, he was sometimes criticized for not scoring or providing assists frequently. This season, his statistics are good."
"We cannot replace a player like Francis one-to-one. Players like Angulo and Raman are also fast. But we also have Degreef, a very clever player who is good on the ball, and Flips, who is waiting for his breakthrough. For me, it's a matter of analyzing the team, the opponent, and what we need in that particular game."
The 24-year-old has scored 3 goals in 11 appearances in the Belgium Pro League, just five of them as a starter.
