Ghanaian midfielder Nana Boateng has shared his excitement after sealing a move to South Korean outfit Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors FC in the ongoing transfer window.
The 29-year-old has joined the club from Romanian side CFR Cluj and has been handed the number 57 jersey at the club.
Boateng arrived in the Asian country on Wednesday morning and has put pen to paper to continue his trade in South Korea.
Speaking after his unveiling, the midfielder said he is honoured to have joined the best club in Asia.
“It is an honor to join Jeonbuk, the best club in Asia” he said.
Boateng's football journey began at the renowned Right to Dream Academy, known for nurturing talented players in Ghana. He has since had stints in Norway, USA, Finland and in Romania.
The midfielder moved to Norway to join Strömsgoset, where he had over five-year spell at the club.
During his time in Norway, Boateng scored 18 goals in 101 games for the club before he departed the side.
The Ghanaian international had a two season spell at Colorado Rapids in the US Major League Soccer (MLS) and returned to Europe for the 2020 season and signed a contract with KuPS (Kupion Paloseura, Finland).
Boateng’s top performance in his first season earned him a place in the best 11 players in the Finnish League while annexing the best midfielder award. In the following season, Boateng helped the club to win the Finnish Cup.
