The Mexican men's national team has become a fixture at the FIFA World Cup, enjoying their status as one of the dominant CONCACAF nations, so the women's absence from the 2023 World Cup will leave many with questions.
 
Mexico is a really good team in the men's category but I did not realize that the women's team could not make up to the finals. Interestingly, most of the countries that play in the men's category are also playing in the women's world cup. I have no plans to watch the tournaments though. That's because I know nothing about women's football.
