The acting head coach of Asante Kotoko, Abdul Gazale has revealed why his team could not score in the clash against King Faisal on Wednesday night.

In a Week 21 outstanding fixture of the ongoing Ghana Premier League season, neither side could score as the derby ended with both teams going home with a point.

Assessing the game after the 90 minutes, Coach Abdul Gazale said his team could have won the match if they had played better in the first half.

“Before we started the game the instructions were not clear to them. When they begin to understand [we will improve]. And we can’t use one day to do all that. It will take time, but I believe we have started well.

“It was evident in the second half. If they played the first half like we did in the second half, we could have gotten the needed goals to win the match,” the Asante Kotoko interim coach said.

Although Asante Kotoko remains out of the top four of the Ghana Premier League table, Coach Abdul Gazale is confident that the team can still win the title.
