Former Black Stars striker, Asamoah Gyan is confident that Ghana can soon win a trophy.
He, however, insists that it will only be possible if there is a well-thought plan in place and implemented.
He proposes that Ghana should follow in the footsteps of Senegal to end the long trophy drought.
“We must limit our expectations. We need to draw something like a five-year plan or a 10-year plan. Look at Senegal, they drew a 10-year plan and no they are winning trophies at all levels. When it comes to Ghana even the first time we went to the World Cup we said we are going to win it.
“That’s not how things work. Let’s limit our expectations and have a target. If we do that then Ghana football will rise again,” Asamoah Gyan said in an interview with Asempa FM on Monday, June 5.
Ghana is returning to the qualifiers for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament this month.
The Black Stars will face off with their counterpart from Madagascar on June 18.
